Default Polaris Xpedition Timing help!

I posted a while back that my 2000 xpedition 425 will not rev. It idles OK, but will not rev one little bit past idle. It will back fire and bog. I can't check the timing at 3500 RPM like the book says, so what should the timing be at idle? Can anyone help me on this? Right now with the timing light hooked up it's reading 30 degrees advanced at idle (about 900rpm or so). This is what the book calls for at 3500RPM!!?? I REALLY want to get this running. The stator has been replaced due to water damage and i've checked everything from the cam to the cdi. I think it has to be timing. The bike has 600 miles on it. Thanks!!
