I just got a Polaris 400 sportsman 04. Mint shape, got it from a guy who never really used it. Yesterday the AWD was working fine. I noticed the front tires kicking in when i was in the sand.
Today i was going up-hill in a sand burm and i got stuck because the front wheels never kicked in. The rear wheels just dug a hole. The AWD switch was on and the symbol was displayed on the display.
I tried shutting it down and restarting. Went in reverse, Shifted the gears and still nothing.
Everything else seems to be working. Is there a fuse?
This machine looks Brand New and cant figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Getting ready to do a trip to the mountains nxt month.

 

make sure its getting power to the housing. change the hub fluid and make sure you use 100% the right fluid or it wont work correcly.

 

Thanks for responding, Im new with this and how do i check for that. I dont see wires going to anything from underneath. I will check the fluid though.
