reverse

What's up with my 1999 400 Scrambler. When I put it into reverse, when I push the throttle, more times than not, it dies, I have to turn the key off and back on again to get it to start????

Are you pushing the reverse override button?

it must have something to do w/ the override not working correctly and maybe grounding the bike right out to turn it off.

I spliced my overide wires toghether and now i can drive in reverse without having to hold that annoying button.
