10 minutes to crank on 2001 HO Polaris 500

caper it doesnt have one in the 01' i would like to know how you push start the auto ploaris when the clutch needs to be closed to turn over the engine? if you think its a fuel related problem just take out the air filter and plug the opening to the carb and if its not getting enough gas this will force suck it in to the carb and if it fires then you know thats an issue. aslo make sure the vacume on the fuel pump isnt unhooked and its pulling gas. just a couple of idears.

seems like it would be hard to push start a polaris cvt because the belt has no tension on either one of the clutches until they start spinning.....the driven clutch would be able to grab but the drive clutch wouldnt ever spin because it has engine resistance.

Ok guys, lets not lose our focus. I have a bike that takes more than 10 minutes to start. With all due respect, I am not really concerned whether this bike will push start or not. I just would like for you all to let me know what may be the problem. The carb is definetly getting gas when I force choke it stendori, what else should I look for?

well budy i had the same problem now when u fire it up and run it for a while does it start up right away or does it take ten min still? CUZ it sounds like the choke curcuit to me. i used to take off the air filter and cover the openong with ur hand. good luck
