Guys, I took a video today with the Benz hooked up.

This might be a stupid question but why are you trying to make it quieter? my 08 800 has a decent sound to it.

I get headaches with excessive noise (any kind of noise, music too loud, etc.), and I also plow snow after midnight and don't want to wake the kids or disturb the neighbors.

I don't mind other guys stuff being loud, just not mine. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

The other video is a better comparison...it at least shows the difference in sound. The link you posted is just the sound with the new muffler with nothing to judge against. Check out the other video if you want to hear the difference. It definitly makes it quiter.

 

Of course you can gather only so much from a video. The change in sound from the first video to this most recent video is much more dramatic in real life. If you judge soley by the two videos, there isn't a whole lot of difference.

 

Through this thread and your video I've learned two things...#1, Hacking up your muffler makes little to no difference. #2 putting that particular aftermarket muffler on reduces the noise level...best shown in the other video. That's all,I was mearly letting the others know to check out the other video, as it's a good comparison.
