Bone Head Move Follow-up
My 2006 Sportsman 500 EFI had the motor rebuilt as a result of running it with low oil. (See Bone Head move post if you want the whole story)
Think God for extended warranty!
Dealer fixed it for 50 bucks plus some overnight postage costs.
Ran fine for most of the summer then it started to have a miss after it was rode for a while.
I messed with all the wires under the tank and it seemed to go away.
Today I went to start it and it will not fire. Cranks great!
Pulled the plug and checked it on the frame, no spark?
I also checked oil level, seemed high a little and seems to have a strong smell of gas?? Pulled some out and it light like gas, not oil?
What is going on, I may get a compression gage and check it? Not sure what it will tell me.

Well!
I will get it to the dealer but I was woundering why this would happen???
When you say flooded?? It's EFI, can you flood an EFI?
It there a ring problem that is allowing gas to get in the oil?
Part of me things I did something, not sure what I could have done just riding it??

We just bought a Ranger XP with the 700 EFI twin. The mechanic in the shop said that because this is an open loop efi system, that even though the engine is warm, every time you start it up it goes through an enrichment cycle.
He said in cold weather its best not to start it up alot for small trips, but to let it idle. This would keep it from fouling the plug.
