I did put a new plug in, I went with the NGK Iridium. I'll order a needle and tube and see what happens.

Do you know who might stock such parts? It seems most of the dealers order the parts from Polaris when you order them and it takes forever to receive them.

You mentioned something about a custom exhaust. Is there anything else that may have been done?

Not to my knowledge, other than the 160 main jet and the k&n filter. What else should I look for? Electronics all look stock. Gear indicator switch does not work but it will go into 4 wheel drive anyway and I do not have to use the over ride button in reverse but I have unplgged the black wire on the rev limitter and it made no difference.

Do you know what exhaust it is? Seeing how someone has messed with the wiring to remove reverse override, it could have something to do with it. You might try covering the intake snorkel with your hand a bit and rev it. See if that makes any difference

Ok, needle and jet plug have been replaced (rebuilt whole carb) and I'm still getting the same results. I'm kind of thinking maybe it could be electrical?

Well i'm back to the original problem. If I remove the airbox cover it runs much better, not perfect but better. Can air filters go bad? Mine is a k&n and I cleaned it thoroughly and very lightly oiled it but maybe it just needs to be replaced?
