Default no 4x4 1999 400 Explorer

I have an 99 400 explorer. Digital dash went blank and the 4x4 does not work unless it slams it at very high rpms while rear tires are spinning. Only did this once as it is not to was not a good sound. Cannot find any fuses or relays. Also the little 4x4 indicator does not glow either. Any one have any ideas?

The "digital type" speedos has to work for the AWD to work. There is a way to by pass the speedo though. I forget how, but do a search and you will find it.
