Default 06 vs 07 800 belt

Can anyone tell me if you can put a belt from 06 on an 07. Reason I ask is that I bought a belt for my buddie's 06 #3211106 and it is hevier duty than my belt on my 07 #3211113. I attempted to put his belt on mine and the belt was sitting out of the driven clutch about halfway, is this a problem?. When i put my belt on it sit's flush. I like the the fact that seem's beefy. Any input?

w/out lookng i would say that it is a shorter,or wider belt. just compare the 2 belts side by side and you should be able to tell. yes that belt cant be that high. should be around maybe an 1/8" out of the secondary clutch.
