since buying this machine used the transmission has shifted between gears hard. it has always been easy if you shut the engine off. Recently it has been getting stuck in gear, and even shutting off the engine does not help. any ideas? please.

 

If your idle is set too high this will cause very hard shifting............Caper............

 

if it hard with the engine off .....check the linkage.........It may be loose or bent!!....................Caper,
