I bought a 08 500 efi sportsman a few weeks ago, when I asked about the free winch package they told me they took that rebate off on the price already and that the price would go up. Is that correct. And if I got the winch, can I install it myself or do they try and stick ya with some more bs.

 

I took the rebate off the price of the sportsman and then got the winch i wanted. Very easy install. took just over an hour. That was after a long day at work. I got my 800 one week ago and installed my winch last night.

 

that is what some dealers do so yes. you should be given the option to choose which one you want though. yes if you buy a winch since its prewired they are fairly simple to install.

 

I took the Winch rebate on my 500 EFI, they looked Puzzled for a minute when I asked them about and then he said oh thats deducted from the price, I took the price difference since i was already upside down on the Hawkeye.

 

yes, I got $500 off the top for the winch which would have been the 1500# Polaris on the 400 HO...I can get a 4000# winch for less then half of that!
Also, as I understand it, the free winch deal does NOT include install, so you either pay extra for that or do it yourself anyway!
