I have a 2001 magnum 325 and I woundering if u can use a clutch kit from a sportsman 500. I figured they all use the same do to the fact their all made by the same company.will the 325 lower hp have an effect on a system made for the 500. Has anybody ever done this

 

i would see if the weights and spring are the same(i doubt they are) to see if it'll work. the only i can suggest is to find a kit that might be for the magum or an adjustable one to fine tune it your self.

 

I mix and match clutch parts all the time but you need a tach to see what rpms you are pulling.Too many rpms on the top and you will blow a motor in a hurry.the 325/330s have a rather weak rod assembly to begin with.So if you can post what springs and weights are in the 500 kit we can let you know close if it will work.

 

all the kits I looked at dont tell me anything about the it just says made for sportsman 500 or 500 ho that it comes with pirmary springs, secoundary springs, flywheel weghts, engages at a higher rpm, little to no loss in top speed, made for stock or bigger tires. I'm looking at two kits one called outlaw the other is made by dalton

I just installed the black and white primary spring that RCR sent me in the stage 1 kit for my 2002 mag 325 4x4. I was reading some forum that some people have changed their secondary springs position. My question is do I have to change mine as well?
