Nevermind. I can't figure out how to delete a post and can just edit it.

Try torqueing to 40 and then go farther until the hole and slot line up. I had to do that with rifle barrels, 35-80 pounds, if you can imagine that. Torque to the minimum and then whatever additional it takes to line up right. I hope that's what you do on that too, that's why I asked earlier if it was a range of 40-80. Somebody must know.

If you're using any brand new parts double torque it. Torque, loosen, torque, loosen, tourque. It will take the burrs off the threads and make it seat better. If you torque new parts down once sometimes they get loose when the burrs and irregularities on the threads flatten out. Double torqueing eliminates that possibility and only takes an extra moment to do.

That sounds right and better. I went a head and torqued them at 80. Do yall think that will be okay or do I need to back off? Do yall think that would make the axle hard to get out? Do yall think I ask too many questions? I don't see why it would, being that there is nothing really to hold it back. The axle is lose from the strut but is hung up on the hub.

I'd torque it to 70 and not have anything to worry about.
