<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>why dont u just get a real truck like a ford or a dodge cumins???? </end quote></div>
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>exactly why he needs a real truck </end quote></div>
This doesn't help! It's bad enough there are people on this forum who have the "my quad is better than your quad" attitude, but now people like you have to take it a step further with the whole truck thing! You should be respectful and stick to the topic! I'll just leave it at that.....

Just for the record, the new Tundra is 50" between the wheel wells and has a long bed available at 97.6", short bed is 78.7".
Now back to the ATV's. LOL

Can;t you just put the tailgate down and strap in the quad tightly? I have a f150 and I would trade it for the Tundra, hehe

This what I like so much about a good old fashoned, regular cab long bed truck (8ft), no matter what brand of truck it is, you can just drive a quad (even an X2) right up in the bed, then shove your 7ft ramps up under the quad, close the tail gate and head for the trails 5 minuts tops.

I load my SP800 ()8') on the back of my access cab full size Tundra with the tail gate down.
My setup is I now have a shorten bed box to act as a stop gap between the quad and my
rear window. Box helps tremendously with all my gear now (helmets, straps, tools etc.).
Anyways all of that said I still have about almost a foot to spare on the tail gate. Not sure
how long the X2 is compared to our normal size Sportsmans? My quad rear tire just sits off
of the gap between the bed and the tailgate. Shame I can't close it but if I were to bring
up the tailgate before hittting the tire it would be at an 45degree angle. So that tells me its
about a true 10-12" of free space. Not sure what the Toyota specs are on tailgate weight
loads? Mine looks solid and the truck suspension gives when loading up with ramps VS
and bending or giving in the tailgate itself. You would think there would be some accessories
out there you could add to the backend or under the gate for heavy loads if there are concerns.
Another thing you may want to consider is I have a Lousiana Guard device that anchors to
the trailerhitch of the quad and the trailhitch of the truck. It full secures the quad locking
in place and can be an autotheft device too if you replace the lockpins with lockable ones.
