Default Mounting this engine on a 01' 325 Trail Boss

Just wondering if anyone has actually mounted a different engine into a 325 trail boss ? This one has a blown engine , the oil line came off and the crank/rod starved for oil and took out the crank and the rod.
I was wondering what I would have to do to mount this engine into the frame ?

I was wondering what model of drive clutch I would have to go to in order for it to be compatable with the OEM driven clutch ? I will have to change drive clutches as the polaris OEM engine has a tapered shaft and the engine above has a 1: straight shaft.

Or even better yet dose anyone have a good crankshaft and rod ?

Thanks,
D.

I know its too late, but did you have the updated oil line fittings installed or had barbed fittings on oil filter casting with clamps? Or did blow off from oil cooler? Also crank can be turned and oversize rod bearings installed If crank not completely toast. Check with area machine shops to see if they can help. Good luck.

No, It did not have the recall done to it. Can I still go to a dealer and get the updated oil lines ? Haven't really ever dealt with recalls before.
Thanks,
D.

Do you happen to know what the limit is on the rod ? I think it is worn also. I would use a set of telescoping gauges on it but I do not know the original diameter.

Thanks,
D.

BTW: does anyone have the specs on a 2001 325 trailboss ? I am most curious of the HP output.

If recall not done before engine damage dont think warranty will apply! Update hose kit consists of 2 new hoses with compression fittings and adapters at oil filter ends, same connection to oil cooler as before with clamps! Still have had customers say lines have blown of at Oil cooler fittings! If crank can be saved ALWAYS use new rod. 2000 models were on the recall, you sure yours is 01? If clamps on both of oil lines top and bottom should be 2000 model, but some early 01's may have slipped through?
