polaris life
Just sold one of the hondas. Been ridden hard and put away wet. About the full scope of maintenance was changing oil. The suspension was trashed, the brakes are beyond worn, the palstic was faded....
.... But it still fired up everytime, all year round and ran like a champ. Sat at the end of the driveway and was sold for $350 in 30 minutes. It was a 1983 ATC200e Big Red.
I also have a 1984 ATC200s , a 1986 TRX200SX, and a 1981 ATC110. All of which have finally worn out a set of rings, all on original bores.
My Polaris its new, shiny, and everything works. But I still ride it just as hard as the hondas. You still see early model polaris sportsmans running about. The worst that happens is you wear out the motor, put $200 in parts into it and your good again for atleast another 10 years. Change the fluids and keep up with the adjustables and the leaks and it should last aslong as anything else.
