Default Plow Parts?

My buddy is gonna sell me a plow (moose I think) to put on my 2006 500 HO.

He says it needs new springs, he used a strap and it worked but I would like the proper parts. Where can I find those springs?

Also, where is a good place to buy the mount?

I am sure the dealer wants BIG $$$$$

thanks

As far as the springs go, moose will have them but I found them a heck of alot cheaper at the local hardware store. In fact, I replace both springs, so they matched tension for cheaper than my plow manufacturer(cycle country) wanted for one.

The mount...ebay should have one and will probably be the cheapest.

Seems to me the cheapest part of a plow is the blade, and if that is all your getting and you need to buy all the other hardware, and if it the blade is shot your best bet would be to get a polaris glacier plow, they are so sweet and easy to hook up, drive into it and to unhook it takes one finger.

Gee. It's low 80's here and I'm miserable. I can't wait for it to start snowing.

I guess I don't know what it cost, the dealer gave me it as part of the deal, and the winch.

$65 for the Moose Extended mount bottom plate when you order from the dealer.

This is a very heavy part, and if you order it from the dealer, you won't have to pay shipping. Order it elsewhere and you'll have to pay for shipping, so any amount you might have saved on the part will be added in shipping. And the new plate will come with new mounting pins. They might also be able to work a deal with you on springs.

Good luck
