Default Winch Solenoid Placement

Just wondering if anyone could help me out with where to put my winch solenoid. I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman and a 2800lb. Bear Claw winch.

Thanks.

It should be pre wired for a winch. There is a spot that the solinoid goes in the pass fenderwell be the frame under the headlight.

viper tells you to install it in the back compartment ,so it is closer to the battery, atleast thats what i did today.

Thanks for the help guys. I found the wiring that was already there and the plate to mount the solenoid on. Now I just have to find out why the winch gears are "skipping". It won't even pull my quad across the yard in neutral. The winch motor runs, but it doesn't pull any weight. Just seems to skip.

i had the case of my winch crack, it would pull fine without any load but once you had a load it would pop pop pop, my crack formed by the free spool lever, not saying it's the same problem just something you might want to check

thanks for the replies. I know the wires are on properly, I'll check for some cracks.
