1994 Trail Boss Transmission Alignment
Hello all!
I just bought a 1994 Trail Boss that had the tranmission replaced about a year ago. The tranmission is mounted OK, but the right-side swingarm bolt (that is supposed to land in a bushing behind the drive sprocket) is not lined up.
The transmission is rearward about 3/8 of an inch or so.
It does not seem to be causing a problem, but I want it to be right!
I have looked at all the parts diagrams, but I cannot get a feel for if the transmission has any "wiggle room" to get this all to line up.
Thanks!

Right side swingarm bolt is pointed and MUST line up in trans case slot bushing, remove rear brake caliper to get access to bolt, check that left swingarm bolt in proper position also(access behind clutch backing plate) LOOSEN chain and see if can move right side enough to align bolt properly in case bushing. IF cant may have to loosen ALL trans bolts to allow movement. Good luck

Thanks OPT!
I finally had a change to work on the transmission alignment. I needed to change the swingarm bushings, anyway.
I think the previous owner just switched the bolts, because the right swingarm bolt was not long enough to engage the tranny bushing. I swapped them around, and both fit fine.
Thanks for your help!
