Polaris Sportsman 500 Touring -2008
Hi there.
Recently bought a Polaris Sportsman 500 touring 2008, which is registrered for use on road. To get it registrered for road in this country it has been modified ie lowered it's horsepower to 20. Seems like they have added some extra restrictor on the exhaust outlet and also installed an restrictor in the air intake, those are the visible modifications, does anyone know of more modifications they might have made? I was particular wondering if the EFI had any modifications because of these other modifications.
Also the gear shifting is kind of hard, possible to adjust?

The other modifications are:
- Headlamp (only bulb) removed, lamp covered with black plastic.
- The fot brake is the mainbrake, works on all wheels, although it does not seem to work at all.
- directional lights.
- side mirrors.
- lock, that works the same ways as a car steering wheel lock.
And then they lowered the output to 15kw (ap 21hp), so the ATV seems a bit tired.
And they really don't like them on the road, not stable enough.
