I too will not buy a 1st year model again after the 2003 TLD Predator.

The funny thing is that it's not because of reliability but because of the way Polaris keeps upgrading their machines each year. If I had waited 2 years I would have had a smother transmission with reverse and the Compression dampeners on the front shocks as well as the rear. Argg I just wish I had reverse.

Then again the first years did get the longer swing arm so they keep the front end down and rocket away. I'm still loving mine.

Seeing as how this is the first Sportsman that they turned the engine in I would be a little lnervious, that and I cannot register and ATV over 800cc so the 850 is out of the question in my state.

I cannot wait to see an 850 XP demo ride. I was very impressed with the Sportsman 800 and can only image how this ATV would be compared to it. Before riding a Polaris, I would have never even considered one as I was in the market for a Brute Force or Grizzly, but the 800 really impressed me.

I'm a little worried about the durability of the racks, especially the front one. it looked like it was really easy to lift off. What happens when you go to tie something down to it? You hit some rough terrain and the whole thing goes flying off the ATV?

Hopefully I can get a better idea once I see one up close.

Good point, that would suck lol. I think is uses the same "lock and ride" attachment method the current accessories use. It is a rubber expanding bolt(for lack of a better word) kind of like a jon boat drain plug. It is adjustable and if you get it tight it is pretty secure. I have the lock and ride back rest and it has never moved, I put it on and have never had to mess with it since.
