Sportsman 550XP vid!

I think they should have left the storage up-front. To have that storage up-front is a BIG plus for me. I have mine filled with all sorts of essentials. With the addition of a bag on the 550-850's, it will block the upper headlight. Too bad they deleted the built-in storage.
I saw the 550 in CAMO a few days ago and the wheel color matches the camo paint. NICE JOB!
(The Pol website shows the Camo with Black wheels.)
Nice to see that they retained the BIG gas tank. Think it's listed at 5.25gal.
Radiator is mounted up more.......and that's a GREAT idea. It should stay clear of mud and sticks flipping-up.
The winch looks to be mounted in a good spot as well.
An overall nice job by Polaris!

Yes I agree, the front storage box is available,it replaces the front rack..it should be standard equipment for the money IMO.
Yes the PS model reduces the fuel capacity, but I tell you I see no need for PS on these machines. This is coming from someone who had an EPS on order due to a shoulder injury. Once I sat on a non-EPS and felt the steering I could not justify the extra money, weight and loss of fuel cap. The non-EPS steers SO EASY, after getting used to the 800 I almost couldn't believe how easy the XP was, it's almost as easy as the 800 with the front wheels off the ground lol. Put it this way my wife could turn the bars with one hand standing next to the machine. The EPS' will go to those guys that just have to have all the bells and whistles IMO.

I'm glad it really does steer as easy as advertised. The last time I checked, EPS was $700 more, and that $700 you save will still buy a lot of gas, beer, jerky, whatever. A winch and plow, maybe?

I really was suprised at how easy it steers. If you are used to the current sportsman you will be impressed with how easy the XP steers. I am liking the idea of saving the $700 myself. I can't wait to get mine. I'll be sure to get some pics and video when I get it. I want to get a video of my 5 year old daughter turning the bars, lol.
