I am looking for a OEM service manual for a 06 Sportsman 500 EFI on PDF file. If no one has one do they know where I can purchase it? Thanks

 

what part do you need, because I have the 08 one and its identical on most things

 

I have the 2006 450/500 manual but not on PDF File..Bought from dealer,.....And help you need I am here also....Caper......

 

I need a manual because I just bought a ATV that had a blown engine. I might be rebuilding it. But I might also replace the engine with one from a salvage yard. its for a 400/500 96-03 but the frame and 500 h.o motor has not changed since 2001 and many other things .

The motor may have a carb and not the efi throttle body but the motor has not changed a bit.

 

THis quad had a tuff life. I had picked it up at a insurance auction. It was suppouse to be a flood unit with a lock up motor. I can tell it was not a flood unit. It look like someone got it stuck and burnt the engine up trying to get unstuck. When I pulled the engine there was hardly any antifreez left in it and low oil. Once I pulled the engine apart I could see why there was hardly any antifreez in it. It has a crack cylinder, piston is totaly shot and cylinder has some damage. I have not gotten down to the crank yet but it is not looking good there. Parts of the piston broke off and is wedge into the crank. So I think this thing went BOOOOM.
