I can't imagine having the old 250 2 stroke in the 6x6. It was a fun engine but would it have enough torque for the 6 tires? Was the 425 a 2 stroke? If it was that would be plenty of power for the 6x6. If I ever get the money together I was thinking of the 6x6 or the new Ranger HD for my chores.

The 425 was a 4-stroke like the Magnum. Same Fuji block as the 500s. I never even heard of a 330 6x6. The 330 is about equal to the 250 in HP but neither had the torque of the 425 or 500. You have to remember that 400s and 500s used to be considered big-bores. The 800 will put them to shame, but if I get one I'll carry a 5-gallon gas can at all times.

I saw one with tracks like that except it was one track hooked up to both rear axles instead of two seperate ones. I found it on youtube a few days ago. Here's another video. http://www.camoplast.com/en/tracksys...multimedia.php Too bad you can only go about 25 mph with these tracks.

OUTSTANDING Youtube video Jumbo! Dial-up users it's worth the wait!!
I loved when the guy jumped from the 6X into the snow and sank all the way up to his armpits! LOL! Then he couldn't get out!

You're welcome MT. I'm just glad I remembered where I saw it. That guy was stuck like a cork in a bottle.

I had a 6X6 back in 2004, ended up with a lemon so I dumped it after a mere 4 months, spent more time in the shop than riding.
As for power....impressive.
Top speed.......50mph
Handling.........surprisingly good for a 6 wheeler.
Trying to fit larger tires in the rear.....not gonna happen, the tires are already way too close together to be able to increase diameter.....they will rub together.
I have some pics posted of it with the rear tracks installed at ATV Nation in the Polaris topics.....800 6X6.
Now that Polaris has revamped the 6X6 I will be looking seriously into another one in the near future.
