2004 and 2004.5 models are the same body style. If he's getting the camo then it is a non-efi because until 2005 the efi only came in black.

To the original poster. How much you paying for that 2004? I'm wanting to sell my 2004.5 so I can get a rhino and was wondering how much you're paying.

Oh yeah, and the only recall was for the throttle cable. Other than that mine has been perfect.

I think the 04 and 05 are the same and if so, I had a 2005 Sportsman 700 EFI. I kept it a little over a year and sold it to my son in law to buy a 700 Grizzly. I had to go with an EPS and independent front/rear braking because of physical problems or I would have kept it. I had no problems with it and my son in law uses it like a tank and has not had any problems. It rides and handles well and has plenty of power. It is a little heavy for some, but I like a heavier machine myself. If the 04 is the same as the 05, I would recommend it without reservation.

The 2005 is quite a bit different than the 2004 body style wise.

zorro700,

I didn't know that, sorry for the confusion, I've only owned on Polaris; probably shouldn't have posted.
