Slipping belt on express 300

Default Slipping belt on express 300

Every time i go through water fast and it spashes it makes my belt slip but if i drive through water slowly it can go pretty deep and it wont slip. any help/ideas?

self explanitory question don';t go in fast.unless you want to snorkel it.

what can i do to seal the tranny case to make it not slip?

nothing. the belt housing IMO is kinda shotty. seems to warp way to easily leaving very small gaps that the bolts are not able to close up.

oh ok, yeah it does leave small gaps, oh well, ive also been told to use anti slip belts but then ive heard that they suck so im in a bit of a rut because there quite expensive

I would get a new cover and silicone the egdes and the drain plug, since you can twist it right out

when you go through the water like that, and you get out the other side, put it in Neutral and rev the engine a little bit for about 5 minutes. will usually dry everything out.

Default Slipping belt on express 300

Up grade to a newer style of belt cover will help 03- Up 250 Trailblazer will interchange and are made better.
Still wont be able to fly through water.

Default Slipping belt on express 300

AFter going through water i have to let it sit for about 10 minutes for everything to dry out but somtimes if i put it in low it will go off the bat .i will try new cover and silicone for the edges and a new drain plug
