Hi all I have a polaris sportsman 500 "01". I can ride it for about 10 min. then it stalls and wont refire turns over but not start. could this be vapor lock or what? my 4 wheel drive, high beam, and my speedo dont work, I was told that they were prone to go and that it would cost me 500 bucks for a new one any body know were to get one cheap?

 

do you pump and hold the throttle at start up?

 

agreed!!!hold it wide open and c what she does...maybe check the fuel filter air filter...is everything up 2 par??

 

Can be vapor lock. Check the fuel tank vent tube for kinking or the air one way check valve for clogging or correct working order...........
