Rancher,
Yeah I'm planning on replacing that plow bar. As soon as I can get over to tractor supply and get the chain couplers.</end quote></div>
Mark,
While you are at it with the plow. Make sure the mount bolts are tight, and check them frequently. As a matter of fact, you might want to change out the bolts to a stronger bolt/washer/nut combination. One of the other members here recommended it with his Glacier II plow system... and it makes sense, as some other folks are bending the mount and breaking off bolts.
Being that yours is a mount for the XP, it might be different than the standard Sportsman... but I would'nt chance it.

Yea Mark,
Not sure on the bolts on the XP mount, but mine were metric (two 8mm X 25mm in the bottom front and one 10mm X 25mm in the rear) and were metric grade 8.8... which is medium strength. I could'nt find any metric in grad 10.9 or 12.9, so I went with SAE grade 8 in 5/16 & 3/8. The grade 8 in SAE has more strength than the 10.9 metric grade. Plus, I put grade 8 lock washers and big fender washers, added some blue Locktite and tightened them up.
I don't think they are going anywhere. LOL They are probably borderline "too strong". I would have preferred the 10.9 metric.
I'm still working on changing out the two big 12mm carriage bolts in the front.

Mark could you post a picture of the rear box where it fits around the rear seat. How does it fell when you slide back on the seat against it?
Thanks</end quote></div>
LE850XP,
I'm sure Mark will post some pics if he has them.
Anyhow, I rode an XP at my dealer that had the box in the back and it had the Polaris seat cushion that you can attach to the box (or put in there somehow). It was very, very nice with that cushion. However, it was a long reach for me to the handle bars with my butt against the cushion. So, for me, the cushion would only be good for resting when stopped.

LE850XP,
Here are the pics of the box, including the latching mechanism where it attaches to the rear rack. As Dave pointed out it would be a far reach to the bars if you were leaning against the rear box. The box only attaches with 2 lock and ride latches and will lift off the rack if you push up on it with a little pressure. See pics here:

From installing mine on my SP800 (2008)/Non-XP, I can say that the Lock&Ride anchors are a little
cumbersome. My left side went right in but my right side gave me a fit. I kept adjusting the screw bottom
of the compression washer of the anchor, sprayed WD-40 into the rack whole etc. It just wouldn't
seat fully flush. Anyways I realized I needed to back out the L-bracket screws and niche it over some.
I guess my rear rack isn't an exact even alignment thus for having to finagle a little. No worries though!
On another note, I like the PIAA lights on the front. If my Sportsman had the winch lower beneath the brushguard
mid peice, I reckon I could found a way to mount them on mine.
