Default Supposed To Have ADC, But Don't

I just bought a 2007 Sportsman 800 that was supposed to be equipped with Active Descent Control. As it turns out, it doesn't have it at all.

I verified that ADC is missing by the lack of the pump on top of the front gearcase as well as the lack of the fluid resevoir. (If that is wrong, please let me know.)

My question is this: How much should the price be adjusted for the lack of ADC?

Thanks!

In 07 only the deluxe model had ads. Is your 800 the deluxe? The deluxe has a polaris winch, rear rack extender, dual exaust and adc.

It does have the rear rack extender, dual exhaust and aluminum rims. It does not have a winch now, but may have at one time. There is a mounting plate there.

The seller thought it was the Deluxe model and so did I just on the basis of what we could see.

Is there any other way to determine if it was supposed to be a Deluxe model? VIN perhaps?

I've never used ADC so I'm not sure how big a deal it is not to have it.

dslanec: Just noticed you have a 2007 Deluxe 800. Do you have the ADC fluid resevoir near the radiator cap? Is there any specail markings on the quad that indicate ADC?

If you don't do any major riding in hilly areas, I don't thinks it's need at all

I'll be taking it to Colorado a few times a year. It's pretty hilly there.

Yes I do have the resevoir. I do not know of any special marking. If you have dual exhaust then I would think it is the deluxe version. I am very curious why there is no adc. Let us know what you figure out. Could the dual exhaust of been added? Also someone could of took the winch off to use on another quad? I would think a dealer would be able to type in the vin and tell you what it is

I think the first obvious clue about whether it came with ADC would be if it has a switch to turn it on or not.

im going to guess that you have the non delux model that someone could have put the extras on it as it wouldnt be missing all the apects of the adc, switch differnt front end, res. by the rad cap. if you call a dealer w/ your win number he can tell you what the bike is and the history of any and all repairs. imo.
