Default 98 explorer 300

I was planning to rebuild a friend 98 300 explorer. looks like its been done a few times. It needs to go to 76.50 mm to clean up, and only wiesco has a piston that big, any probloms with going that far,I feel bad for that little motor, free air in a utility?? bad idea. Is there a way I can test the fan while its apart to make sure it works, dont want these probloms again. thanks For any help or advice!

maybe contack "RCR" rick ritter and ask him as he is the man at rebuilding these 2 strokes. a 300 xplore isnt too bad on the power side as well since its a fairly light bike. you might be better off just getting a new or used cylinder instead of boring it out again. imo.

You can find another cylinder on Ebay that may have more life left in it
