Front diff input seal leaking
#21
Make sure the shaft coming out of the diff doesn't have a groove worn in it from the seal. Had that issue with my '09 RZR. They replaced the whole thing once while under warranty and new seal started leaking not long after that. I bought an upgraded cover/seal/bearing kit off ebay and never had an issue after.
Problem is there are two bearings with a plastic spacer on that pinion gear/shaft which makes it prone to moving/wiggling around. The kit has a better cover with larger diam bearings and wider races which eliminate the slop caused with the factory set-up.

The pinion on my 05 700 started to leak a few weeks ago. I replaced the pinion bearing, seal, and installed a speedi-sleeve on the pinion shaft. Problem solved...
I bought the front diff bearing kit from ALL ***** Racing. It includes 3 bearings and all of the seals. The speedi sleeve is part# 99098. I did all of the work myself for about $85...

I was researching a fix for my 2012 Sportsman 800 front diff, output shaft seal leaking (even worse after I replaced it). I verified the Speedi-sleeve will work on my sportsman, is the same pn SKF99098(.985”/24.99mm measured mine to be sure). Also had the rebuild kit for the output shaft so I changed the bushing and 2 bearings. My old bushing had been consumed by about 25%, and the ball bearing had lot of play in it. Just waiting on the repair sleeve and hopefully I have enough Demand Drive Fluid left to refill it!
