HO front end to soft for me...

I would try the rubber inserts first. They are easy to install and do a good job for recreational riding at a minimal cost. If you like to get big air I would agree with above buy the heavy duty spring, or progressive unit. If you have to go to the Works strut or Fox strut you may be riding the wrong machine.
Keep your tires on the ground, and the mud out of your face.

You need the HD springs. If you read the parts book the Magnum, Xplorer, and Sportsman all have the same front spring weight 67-110. Now the Sportsman is between 50-113 pounds heavier than those other quads.
I have a 2001 HO I have added the 101# front and the 140# rear. The stock springs did NOT hold up for my riding style and weight load. I use a fuel pack on the front that is about 35 pounds of gas. I have the polaris box on the back with about 45 pounds of gear and I weigh 320 pounds. With the heavy springs on my HO it rides like stock.
I tried the rubber donuts for me it was a waste of 12 dollars.
Good luck.
