First ride on the 850XP.

The power level did wake up on mine over the first 80 miles. At around 40-45 on the odo, the engine just got, well, more lively, for lack of a better term. At 82 miles, it's wide awake. And mine will stand right up if the throttle is nailed, high or low. I did have to adjust the throttle cable to get rid of the nagging stall-off-throttle condition, but it took 2 minutes to correct. Such an amazing machine.. just have to get rid of the champion plugs now. And get a K&N. And maybe Bighorns.

How did they determine that Hot? Reason I ask is I've got this noise at slow speeds that I can't seem to isolate. It sort of sounds like a brake shoe is dragging, but I've had all four off the ground and can't reproduce it for the life of me. When cruising slowly, say 15mph I can hear it coming from the rear end area. It's too faint to hear with a helmet on. Probably imagining things.

Not so much holding it back, I just really don't like Champion spark plugs. I think there are way better brands out there. NGK, for example
