Default 04 Sportsman 600 New to me

Hello all, Just picked up the atv today and have a few questions.

First, is it normal when grabbing onto the front bumper and rocking left and right for all the wheels to have a little slop in them?

The rear drive shaft also has a little slop where the knuckle connects to the rear diff. Im sure thats not normal

And i read to beware of electrical in 03/03 built sportsman.. Mines has a date of 03/11/03. Is there a way to see if the electrical has been updated? It has 1200miles and 177 hours. Havent driven more than down the street and back yet but all seems well....

Thank you Tim

Sounds like your front wheel bearings are out, and have a bad u-joint. IDK about the electrical issues. But Welcome to the forum.

Thank you, Ya i figured it wasnt normal. Also there is some slop in the tie rod ends for the steering... is that normal??

Is there grease zerks anywhere i cant see?

Any other tips anyone could give me for a good check over.. Planning on changing oil and cleaning air filter.
