My sportsman 90 will idle forever but when i give it gas it revs up and quits.
I have cleaned the carb well.
It seem to be choking out .
It has some sort of electronc type choke.
How can I test if this is the problem.
The part cost $100.

If you unplug the connection to the electric choke, it will be as if the choke is off. Have you checked the air filter and ducting? These are very touchy about that.

 

It dose the same thing with the chocke disconnected.
I have kept the air cleaner off because because of the hassel when trying to figure out the carb problem.
My son had been riding most of the day then it started to act up.
He did do alot of stream crossing that day.
I twice had to clean the air filter because of water.
