07 Sportsman Water Pump Mechanical Seal problems

I did the drywall screw removal technique as described in the link above. Everything is back together now and no leaks. Thanks old polaris tech for your help. The explanation of the clear plastic over the new seal was most helpful.
The tool that I have is definitely for the 500, the shaft is much smaller on the 500 and after having dissasembled the 800, I can see clearly how the tool works on the 500. I have a 98 Sportsman 500 that I had the dealer replace the mechanical seal in the past so I am going to keep the tool in case I ever need to replace it again, and I'm sure I will.
