Lead paint issues with Polaris
#12
The issue is with the battery as stated above. There is a small amount of lead elsewhere on the quad, but the reason they are banned is the battery. I imagine it evens means alot of those "charge them up" Fisher Price Jeeps and quads aren't allowed to be sold either. This is what happens when knee-jerk policies are issued. The Consumer Products Safety Commission isn't what I would call the most educated bunch of people when it comes to quads.

The ban is for the ATV's for the under 12 crowd. $h!+ when I was 5 I started mowing yards with a snapper rider with a battery in it. I never felt the urge to take a brake and sample the deliciousnous of the battery, or any part of the mower for that matter. Here in SD, they let 14 year olds drive cars!!!! What happens to us all when they ban cars cause of some stupid 14 year old gets pulled over and gets gets caught sippin a battery cocktail? Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) may have good intentions but no matter how hard they try they (CPSC) Can't Protect Stupid Children.
