Default Sportsman 500 HO cam

Does anyone know what the polaris part # for the HO cam is? I need to replace mine on my 97 500 as it wont rev and pops back threw the carb anything above 1/4 throttle..

Where is the best place to buy one?

According to parts list for 01 500 should be 3085855. They have parts manuals on their site , just have to register.

How do the web cams compair with the HO cam lift wise? Anyone have a chart comparison?

How much are the webcams? If anyone has the "hookup" let me know.

Where can I find the procedure to replace the cam on my 97 500?

If it was only that simple. The HO cam, or other race cam, is most likely going to require a new carb as well... possibly a new piston, intake, exhaust, etc.

Need to do your homework. The 500 HO vs regular 500 is different in more places than just camshaft. A race cam would make things even worse.

If you're planning to totally rebuild the engine, that may be a very good plan. But, if you thinking of just a cam swap, I don't think it's going to be just that easy.
