Transmision oil?

Default Transmision oil?

What type of oil do I use in the transmision/rear end my 2006 polaris 500X2 quad ?

Polaris AGL fluid. Drain plug on the right,fill plug on the left side of the case. Fill to bottom of threads.

Does it have to be Polaris oil? And what does AGL stand for or mean.

AGL = Angle Drive Gear Lube

I use AMSOIL 2000 Synthetic Chaincase lube. However, the Polaris AGL is less expensive and is probably all you need.

AGL stands for Atv Gearcase Lubricant.

I use Shell synthetic chain case oil. As long as it a chain case oil it will meat the spec.
