Default No belt tension

My buddies 2006 sportsman 500 has an issue... was riding Majestic trails on saturday and started having problems on the hills. We pulled the belt cover and the belt had zero tension. If you rev it up the drive clutch spins inwards and starts to put ension on the belt, but not enough to develop power. Where do we start looking to fix it?

Is the belt missing chunks out of it, did you take it off and look at it? If the belt is ok then I would say the primary clutch needs work, is the front motor mount broken?

The belt looks fine. The front motor mount appears loose. If you rev it up, the whole motor turn to the left side (belt side) of the machine.
