Help Sportsman XP 550 vs can am outy 650 vs AC 700H1
#11
800 and 650 are very fast. There was changes from 07 to 08 to 09 for the 800. Most of it had to do with added HP, faster visco lock, and improved mileage.
From the testing I read about that cc1999 did......the XP has the better turning radius. The outlander was the worst out of all the big bores in that category.
If I was you, I'd look hard at the Outty 800, but that's just me.......although having new is much nicer than buying used.

The XP 550 is $5599 and the 08 outty 650 is $5999 or $6499 for XP. Turning radius is somewhat important because I help maintain our local Mt. biking trails and pull a brush hog through some really tight places. I'm sure the XP 550 is plenty of power for me but like everyone else I want the best I can get for the money and I do enjoy playing...it won't just be for work!

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going Tuesday to look at them both and hopefully get a spin on them to see which I prefer. I'm starting to really like the idea of the outty 650. One thing I notice is that they always score high, but they don't usually rank the best in all the rag reviews. And of course lately the XP's come out on top everytime. But I don't completely trust the mags...I'll let you know what I decide!
