Im new at the sight but have a background in electrical eng and a good deal of automotive work. Looking at the schmatic in the back of my repair manual i see that the main power wire(red) should have a direct conection to the stator and cdi box. If this is true then where is this conection? I have traced 100% of the red wire frim the cdi box to the stator and there are no conectors or cut wires between the two. I also have the same question about the yellow wire between the regulator and the stator going to the yellow wire for the high beam. I have also inspected 100% of this wire.'

In both cases neither wire between the statoo and cdi box or restifire show any evidence they should physicaly be wired to the red or yellow wire.
Any ideas?

 

Looks like we have the same quad. Do you have electrical probs or just trying to find 12V to add on an accessory? I've ordered a clymer manual for mine, just has not arrived yet. The electronics are solid on mine I think just needs transmission work.

 

Still no ideas?

I checked one more time to dav and i just cant beleve that any thing was ever hooked to the red wire between the stator and cdi or on the yellow wire going between the stator and rectifier, as the schematic sugguests. does anyone have a different manual? I have a haynes manual.
