Safety Training Time
#1
Get to go do ATV safety training tomorrow morning. Already have it to ride ATV's for the military but it's free and Popo is giving me a $100 gift card for attending. Hoping there's a fair amount of folks there to hook up with for riding some time. That and a little refresher every now and then can't hurt.

i'm betting alot of places now are going to require you to have a some sort of saftey trainning to even ride. not a bad idea for younger or even new uneperinced riders to attend those type of classes.

I agree with you Sten. I've had to take both ATV and Motorcycle Safety for the Military. Both were really good refreshers and helped reinforce skills and point out some bad habits. My daughter will be taking one for sure.
Here's the first bummer about this deal. They said I could have two additional people take it for free but had to be 16+ because I bought an 800. Going to talk with Popo about that. IMO the more folks that get trained the better so regardless of what size is purchased they should be able to attend as long as they are on a machine that is appropriate for their size/age.
Second bummer is the sun is finally out after a lot more rain and I could be out mudding before work instead:-)

Side note here but still about training........
..
..As of Sept 15, 2009 here in Canada you will need a Pleasure Craft operators Card to drive a power boat. Even a sail boat with a kicker motor!! or a Canoe with a small motor!!
This law was already in place here for the past two years or so just for the use of Personal Water craft users.
Any states in the U.S.A require a card to drive your boat?
.thanks...Caper......

I see way too many kid's down here riding high powered machines with no helment's, two or three on at a time riding. Drag racing, pulling wheelies and other stupid thing's and most of this is on concrete street's in a subdivision. Parent's are no where in sight. Maybe they are just trying to get rid of them!
