The two on the pavement are hilarious. Do you think the race with the 650 got over thirty miles per hour and the one with the 800, 3/4 of the way through showed the 850 doing a wopping 40 mph. You have to admit the one on the dirt road showed two of the sweetest sounding quads on the market. It reminded me of listening to Giacomo Agostini coming up the straight away on his MV Agusta during the Dutch TT race in Assen. That would be both of them together

Here's a link to an interesting vid comparing the big 3 ( T-Cat, 850 XP, and 800R ). They mention the tires...but watching the vid shows pretty much garbage tires ( the ones on the Outty are not the Carlisle ACT's that come stock with the XT package, they are instead, the junk on the base models. Looks to be the same case for the 850xp and T cat. Not sure of the age/break-in period on the T-Cat or XP...but the Can Am was brand new ( as stated in vid) and it also had a big fairing/windsheild on it ( they should have taken it off as it only slows down the machine ). Take note of the drag tests offroad...the Visco lock on the 800R clearly shows it's traction advantage at any speed, and the races aren't even close. Below is a graph showing drag times and distances ( it's really only a 2 way fight) Scroll down the page on the link provided to click the high speed english version. Gotta say, pretty impartial testing and proves that all 3 are wicked.

why so hard to keep the front wheels down on the xp but the lighter can am could hole shot so hard?
Besides im not into top speed racing on a 4x4 utility wheeler. thats what my 650 horsepower procharged ls1 trans am is for

nice horsepower on the camaro. Im guessing a 402 stroker as 540 rwhp on a 346ci ls1 isnt too street friendly. nice power n/a in any case, a lot of fun

Because the XP is about 90 or so lbs lighter in the front that it is in the rear with a winch installed, while the Outty is about balnaced front to rear, maybe slightly front heavy..
With traction launching the XP hard without the front lifting can be a challenge..
