Notice how the coupler is inside underneather the tongue. I used the hitch pin hole and then had to drill the back hole for the coupler. I took the top strap for the hitch pin and turned it backwards on the tongue to be used as a handle. It works great so I also did this to my Craftsman yard vacuum. No more slop in the hitches for me!

Maybe you can just cut the tongue back then install the ball hitch.

You might need to heat it up with a torch to avoid stressing the metal.. Just a thought.

Ditto this. Use a torch to straighten it all out. It'll maintain it's strength much better that way.

Dang, I don't even know if I have a torch! Hmmm, just another toy I must have, lol..lol

Okay sure, I'll do that, lol..lol. Ssshhh the wife doesn't know yet. So what do you all recommend for a torch? (Brand name, price, store info.?)

Wally World, Home doo doo, Lowe's, K-Fart.....any of those stores should have a gas torch kit similar to this:

Just remember to get some paint if you decide to go this route (its gonna burn the paint)
