Sportsman 500 CV help
This has probably already been covered, but my dial up connection is impossibly slow on this site so I didn't get much searching done. Can anyone give me a link to replacing the rear outer cv boots on a 2004.5 Sportsman 500 H.O. I'm wondering if I should tackle it myself or bring it in. I have the boot kits, but no other Polaris parts like snap rings, etc. So I don't want to take it apart and find out I need something. I read a little about the axle being a little tuff to get out.
I've always brought it to the dealer before to get everything done (when I do get time off, I want to ride it, not fix it) but lately I've been having to go back and correct too many mistakes, or forgotten hardware. Used to be a real good dealer, but then they took on boats, and another line of atvs and it seems like they are too busy now and don't put the same care into what they are doing. It's too bad to see that.
Thanks for any help steering me to the info I need.
