iv never used polaris brand motor oils. in my 2000 sportsman i used what ever was cheap. and it ran and ran 7000 miles on it and never touched the engine in it. it always started, and rand perfect. i only used the polairs oil in the front awd hubs, the tranny, and the diff.

2qts not worth the time. i beg to differ. mobile 1 only costs about $5 per quart. i got it when it was on sale for $3.50 ea. i got 4 qts, and a filter. saved like $25.

Ya i was thinking about going to a 0w40 synthetic oil just because it is right in town. The closest dealer for me is 2 hours away. Thanks for all the input.

If you used Polaris oil then you always used synthetic 0W-40 in the first place.

Be careful what oil filter you install if its still under warranty some oil filters have different micron ratings mine say use 10 micron only. To this day I have not seen an oil related engine failure from using the correct oil.
