belt squeal

Default belt squeal

i just bought my son an 02 sportsman 500 4x4 it was great for a couple days but now it sounds like the drive belt is squealing inside the housing.and it still pulls even in neutral a little bit.any help is greatly appreciated.thanks.

Is it idling to high? maybe it has the wrong belt on it.

i had to replace my 02' 500 belt to a 700 belt because of shrinkage. once i changed it, never had any more issues. however check the rpms first and make sure the ebs bushing or fiber washers aren't the problem. imo

Most likely it will be your ebs washer on the primary clutch, need to have primary rebuilt with washer
