Cool Polaris Sportsman Engine dies

I have a 2000 sportsman 500 that dies after about 5 mins use when it warms up. Go back to it after 5 or 10 mins it it runs fine until it warms up again.
Changed over the Spark plug and Cap with no success. Clean out the Carby and Air Filter. The ignition coil resistance is 1.5 Ohms. I think it should be around 3.5. It still measures 1.5 after it has warmed up.
I'm in Ausrtralia and the price we pay for spares is outragous. The spark plug cap was $65 and a new coil is about $250.
Any body had similiar problems that they overcame

How does the sparkplug look when it cuts off? It may be running rich fouling out the plug

Default engine dies

It looks clean. I did adjust the mix in accordance with the Clymer Manual.
I suspect its the coil but the resistance doesnt seen to change when it heats up. Only 1.5 ohms either cold or warm.
I put a new plug in and nothing changed

Thought of that on the way to work this morning.
Have a spare plug and take of the cap put the spare plug in and see if it gets some spark.
