Default brake lever stalling

Any ideas why pulling the break lever all the way in would cause my 1987 trailboss to stall..if I just hold it for a second it will come back to idle but if keep it held it will stall....

Don't know anything about your model, but is there anychance your have all electrical accessories on like lights, hand warmers, winch for plowing etc. Maybe it's the extra juice to the lail lights that is dropping the voltage low enough at idle to cause ignition proplems?

well you bring up a good point,,the brake light is staying on the whole time it is running,,,and when I press the lever there is no change, so I am assuming that normally the light would be off until lever is engaged. That being said has anyone experienced this before and what was the solution. I just recently replaced the bulb as it was out. thanks

do you have foot brake and hand brake they both have switches and of them is sticking causing tail light to stay on when you hit your brake and it dies sounds like short to ground trace wires from each switch and find the one that is bare to frame

will take a look, after doing some searching it sounds like the light is always on and it brightens when lever is pressed..it does not do that now so it must be a short. I will take a look and see if there are any bare wires...
